One of the most unique traditions of Austin High is the 'A', visible always by day and lit by burning fires at night during all home football games and on graduation. Our classmate, Shayne Gad, arranged to have the 'A' lit on both Friday and Saturday nights during our reunion. Friday night was rained out but the 'A' burned bright on Saturday night.
